Fringed Loosestrife
The nodding flowers of
Lysimachia ciliata
seem to light up the shaded darkness of wooded floodplains in summer. Note the ciliate leaf petioles.Photographed at Potato Creek State Park in St. Joe County, Indiana. This is a very common native plant.
