Flame Tree

Delonix regia. This gorgeous tree was covered in large, red flowers and was very common in parks in Manila.  -Ben

Interesting. This tree was also common throughout the Ocho Rios area of Jamaica... though the flowers we saw were more orange in color. This is also the national flower of Puerto Rico, and is said to serve as an outside classroom in Jamaica.

Wow! Certainly an unusual flower for the Fabaceae. Nice picture!
