Wow... I'll post an answer tonight if no one else has a guess. It's an uncommon plant, but it ranges throughout much of the northern US, including Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. It's non-native and annual.
The stem is going in strange directions. Is it climbing or sprawling, or just leaning?
I saw some that was more upright, but this individual was somewhat sprawling, but probably moreso leaning.
