Most Recent Michigan Botanist

Has anyone looked at the cover of the most recent Michigan Botanist, with a great paper on prairies in Michigan? Isn't that our very own Wild Brad Slaughter on the cover??

Great eye, Scott! The site is Indian Lake in Newaygo County, where some of the largest dry sand prairie remnants in the state occur. The article really nails the point home that Michigan was characterized by oak openings and barrens, not so much by open prairies, where all the restoration rage is currently focused.

At least you're wearing a shirt this time!

Can some one direct me to the topless "Wild Brad" photos? That's gotta be some sweet action.

Cute, guys...Amorpha doesn't get me that excited...

There was a picture online of a botanist without his shirt on that I sent around assuming it was Brad. I thought my hunch had been confirmed.

That seems unlikely given Brad's severe gynecomastia.
