Asclepias ovalifolia is a milkweed of prairies, barrens, savannas, and open woodlands in the Upper Midwest.

What an amazing plant. Also a really good post over at Through Handlens and Binoculars - you're so right in what you say about needing immediate changes in the conservation practices. It's good to see that some practices are now looking at conservation at landscape level.

Thanks Tim. We need more than just conservation organizations changing their practices... we need a shift in thinking that prioritizes conservation and preservation of natural resources.
