The finest photograph I have ever seen of this plant was created by Lee Casebere of the Indiana DNR. It is a work of art, and it was done before the ease of digital photography came along.

I'm actually going to buy some of these pennies (not the golden ones; I have a golden goose for such things). I can get them for $1 each. I'll buy extra in case anyone wants one.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably thinking "eh". But wait until you hear my idea: The pennies are the exact diameter of a B&L Hasting 10X handlens. That's right, I'm going to superglue one right on my handlens. Crazy....... or Genius?
I knew I had it but forgot about it over the decades. It was a rediscovery, I guess.

1. Type my herbarium labels,
2. Grade my school papers, and
3. Wash my car once a week.
Let me know if that sounds reasonable.
